T-Mobile was looking for interactive activation to help their mobile store teams create meaningful engagement at local events. We developed Up For Grabs, an arcade-style video game that could be connected to any screen and played through your phone. The game took the traditional carnival-style claw game and revamped it as a digital experience. Participants attempted to capture animated prize boxes using their phone as a joystick. The game utilizes a phone’s accelerometer to articulate the position of the claw. We incentivized participation through giveaways that related to the level of character you captured. Harder characters meant bigger prizes. .
